Practical Parent Talk courses at SCC start March 30

St. Charles Community College is offering continuing education courses on Practical Parent Talk, a new series of classes led by certified Parent Talk system facilitator and parent education instructor, Kathy Salazar.

Workshops feature the Parent Talk System where parents are taught highly effective verbal skills that empower them to deal confidently with typical daily situations that most families face. Applicable to parents with children of all ages – toddlers to teens. The focus is on practical strategies for respectful communication and positive problem solving.

Courses include: 

End Negative Behaviors and Power Struggles: 6:30-8:30 p.m. | Thursday, March 30 | $39 | Humanities Building Room 103 

Discipline Strategies That Really Work: 6:30-8:30 p.m. | Thursday, April 6 | $39 | Humanities Building Room 103

Encourage Your Children While Building Confidence and Character: 6:30-8:30 p.m. | Thursday, April 13 | $39 | Humanities Building Room 103
