Young People’s Theatre Performing Arts Academy to perform ‘Crumpled Classics’

Published: 03/02/2016

Young People’s Theatre Performing Arts Academy will perform Crumpled Classics at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in the Daniel J. Conoyer Social Sciences Building auditorium at SCC.

The campus is located at 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville.

Tickets for the show are $5 and can be purchased at stchastickets.com, in the Continuing Education office in Humanities Building Room 103 or by calling 636-922-8233.

With first-year teacher Ms. Collins out sick, a quirky group of students take it upon themselves to pull together the school’s annual "Classics on Parade," acting out famous stories they studied in their literature class. The students, however, decide to make the stories relevant to today’s audiences, with hilarious results. The authors are surely rolling over in their grave and Ms. Collins is terrified of losing her job – especially when the principal calls the superintendent in the middle of the show.
