SCC Chapter of Tau Upsilon Alpha National Human Services Honor Society Inducts 11 New Members

“We continue to maintain a networking foundation for our students with connections to human services and law enforcement agencies, professional organizations and the St. Charles County community as a whole,” said Flora Fazio, SCC adjunct professor and Tau Upsilon Alpha’s founder and co-advisor.

The following members were inducted: Julianne Altman of Florissant, Melissa Beste of Washington, Christine Bressler of St. Charles, Noro Dahoro of St. Peters, Nancy Hamilton of Troy, Carolyn Hammond of New Florence, Courtney Pfeifer of St. Charles, Tiffany Ramirez of St. Charles, Julie Rickman of O’Fallon, Samantha Shelton of Wright City, and Hattie Woike of St. Peters.

Ronald Chesbrough, SCC president, made opening remarks at the induction ceremony, followed by keynote speaker, Chris Breitmeyer, SCC vice president for academics and student affairs.

The Lambda Chapter of Tau Upsilon Alpha grants membership to outstanding human services students based upon cumulative GPA, community service and commitment to the field of human services. Tau Upsilon Alpha is also a part of the National Organization for Human Services, dedicated to honoring academic excellence, fostering lifelong learning, leadership and development and promoting excellence in service to humanity.
