Professional Vocal Coach Hosted Lecture for SCC Theater Students on April 17

Published: 05/08/2012

Coleman, a former singer and actress, is now the president of Say It Well! Inc., which provides presentations, coaching and learning tools to help clients learn to communicate better.

“Dr. Coleman helped the students conduct a personal voice analysis to determine possible areas they each needed to work on to improve their voice,” said Deborah Phillips, SCC adjunct professor of theater. “She gave them tips to care for their voice and led them through exercises to improve articulation, quality and breath control.”

Coleman concluded the class with a short Q&A session regarding auditioning and performing.
