Freshmen Austin Cantrell and Austin Haywood have combined efforts to provide the Cougars with excellent goalkeeping.

“The effort put out by this team is remarkable, and they are a great team to watch,” said Tom Kearns, head coach of the men’s soccer team. “We hope to see everyone come out and support our team at the tailgate.”

The Lady Cougars are also starting the season strong with an undefeated record of 7-0. Women’s sophomore team captains Lexi Baez and Megan Eissler are excited about the tailgate event at SCC, they said.

“Most of the players have friends and parents who come out to watch, but it brings a different feel to a home game when you have the student body out there supporting you, too,” said Eissler. “We hope to get a win for SCC that day and show the community that our team is the one to watch.”
