The committee is comprised of members representing the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, students, Foundation and the community. Pundmann will serve as committee chair.

“We are off to a great start to identify the next president of St. Charles Community College and we look forward to keeping the SCC community informed throughout the presidential search process,” Pundmann said.

Search committee members are: SCC Board of Trustees – William Pundmann, Board president and chair; Robert Proost, Board treasurer; and Jean Ehlmann, trustee; SCC employees – John Bookstaver, professor of chemistry; Todd Galbierz, vice president for administrative services; Joyce Lindstrom, professor of math; and Kelley Pfeiffer, student activities coordinator; Foundation and community – Michael Lissner, president of the SCC Foundation Board and partner at Acropolis Investment Management; Greg Prestemon, president and CEO of the St. Charles County Economic Development Center; Roger Deppe, community leader; Gaspare Calvaruso, president of SSM St. Joseph Health Center; SCC Student – Alec Kelley, sophomore and president of Student Senate.

Following institutional analysis and profile development by a consultant from the Association of Community College Trustees and selection criteria to be determined by the SCC Board of Trustees, the position will be advertised in February 2011.  The search committee will begin meeting in March and will continue with resumé screening until they identify 10 candidates to recommend to the Board of Trustees.  The committee will also develop telephone and on-site interview questions for the Board’s consideration and use in the process.
