Student Assistant/Work Study - Spanish Tutor

Hours: Max. 10 per week. Mutual times to be arranged between student and tutor. All tutoring will be done in the ACE Tutoring Center during regular hours.

Tutor students who are taking Spanish courses at SCC.  Should be able to assist a student in Spanish I and Spanish II.  Other duties may include helping students with study skills, technology and time management.  Must be able to work independently and as a team member. Commitment to your tutoring schedule is crucial.


Any prospective tutors must be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours for the semester in which they will be tutoring.  They must have taken a Spanish class at SCC and received a grade of "B" or better.  They must have a referral form completed by an SCC Spanish faculty member; this form can be acquired from the ACE Tutoring Center.  They must attend mandatory orientation and training sessions.
