Duties:

St. Charles Community College is an accredited, affordable, and accessible learning environment providing life-changing opportunities for personal growth and professional success. The College invites applications for a full-time General Education Teacher to provide professional educational assistance to students in need of supplemental instruction and guidance in the area of Nursing at the Nursing & Allied Health Center in Dardenne Prairie, MO.

This position will:

  • Tutor Nursing & Allied Health students preparing for or enrolled in courses for the Associate of Science degree or the Certificate of Achievement and assist with assessing the academic needs and development plans for remediation.
  • Design and facilitate workshops and exam reviews (test-taking skills in preparation for course exams, standardized exams, exit exams, and the NCLEX-RN exam).
  • Secure and design learning resources.
  • Assist students with study skills strategies.

Tutoring occurs both in one-on-one and in group settings within the on-campus learning center and the Nursing and Allied Health facility in O’Fallon, MO.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing and must be currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Missouri. Teaching experience preferred. Candidate must have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and knowledge in various educational/instructional software.
