SCC is now registering for summer and fall 2014 classes

April 21, 2014

For current and returning students to St. Charles Community College, or area residents considering attending SCC for the first time, the news is good – tuition rates have been frozen for the 2014-15 academic year, college officials announced.

Registration for summer and fall 2014 credit classes is now under way at St. Charles Community College. Regular registration hours are 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday.

SCC offers educational opportunities for first time college students, transfer students, returning learners and high school juniors and seniors who want to dual-enroll. “With tuition frozen, the cost to attend SCC is a great deal that just got better,” said Chris Breitmeyer, vice president for academic and student affairs.  “SCC faculty and staff continue to work hard to ensure our students have a high quality affordable educational option, and keeping tuition flat demonstrates that dedication.”

In addition to quality academic programs, SCC provides support and resources for students, including a free tutoring center on campus, financial assistance, scholarship options, resources for veterans, accessibility services, a child development center and a number of clubs, activities, sports and events.

To register, visit or call 636-922-8000. SCC’s classes are $95 per credit hour for in-district students, $143 for out-of-district, in-state students and $215 for out-of-state and international students.

Summer registration will continue through May 30 and fall registration will continue through Aug. 15. Pre-semester 5-week summer classes start May 20; the regular 8-week summer session begins June 2. Fall classes start on Aug. 16. Other important dates and deadlines are listed on the SCC website at
