Published: 02/25/2015

Young People’s Theatre will perform Seussical March 20-29 in the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building at St. Charles Community College, 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. in Cottleville.

Performances will take place at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, March 20-21; 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, March 27-28; 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, March 21-22 and 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, March 28-29.

In Seussical, the Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos. Horton faces a double challenge, not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.
