SCC to Host 'Between the Covers' Book Club

“Having an SCC-wide book club promotes reading, unique conversations and camaraderie on campus,” said Mandi Smith, SCC student activities coordinator. “It’s been such a positive experience so far. We really have created a little book-loving community, and I’m excited to watch it continue to grow.” 

Meetings will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Learning Resource Center Information Commons at the dates listed below, unless otherwise noted. There will be refreshments and giveaways at each meeting.

Wednesday, Jan. 28
Join Between the Covers Book Club for its kick-off meeting.

Wednesday, Feb. 25
Attendees will discuss “California” by Edan Lepucki. 

Wednesday, March 25
Attendees will discuss “Alice + Freda Forever” by Alexis Coe.

Tuesday, April 28
Join Between the Covers Book Club for a discussion and showing of “It’s Kind of a Funny Story” at 6:30 p.m. in the SSB auditorium.

Wednesday, April 29
Attendees will discuss “It’s Kind of a Funny Story” by Ned Vizzini.
