226 Auxilary Enterprises
|P-226.1||Auxiliary enterprises of the College include the Bookstore, Food Services department and Child Development Center.|
|D-226.1.1||An auxiliary enterprise provides a service to students, faculty or staff, and charges a fee directly related to, but not necessarily equal to, the cost of providing the service. The general public may be served in some auxiliary enterprises. Auxiliary enterprises support the College's mission and conceptually should be self-supporting. Little or no revenue is obtained from general operating sources.|
|Pr - 226.1.1||The catering office of the Food Services department is the preferred caterer for all campus functions. Additional information can be obtained in the Catering Guide.|
||The fee schedule for the services of the Child Development Center is as follows:
Effective Date: July 1, 2014
A non-refundable registration fee of $65 for families of the general public and $52 for families of students, faculty and staff is required. A 10% discount will be offered for additional children in a family.
|P-226.3||Procurement of Goods and Services for Resale
Auxiliary enterprises are authorized to purchase goods and services for the purpose of providing textbooks, instructional and course related materials, collegiate merchandise and food related items for resale. The requirements of Board policy 204 Procurement of Goods and Services do not apply to Auxiliary Enterprises when goods and services are procured for the purposes of resale.
Materials not stipulated for the purposes of resale will be procured in compliance with Board policy 204 Procurement of Goods and Services.
|Pr-226.3.1||Auxiliary Enterprises Procurement Guidelines and Procedures
Each separate entity of auxiliary enterprises (Bookstore, Food Service and Child Development Center) will maintain appropriate guidelines and procurement procedures allowing for their unique departmental function and operation.
