Education

Do you want to teach in a PK-12 classroom? Are you interested in working in childcare or helping learners with special needs? Then Education might be the pathway for you.

ELEMENTARY, SECONDARY, & EARLY CHILDHOOD (EDU)

Our A.A.T. degrees are statewide degrees that allow students to transfer as a junior into four-year Missouri schools. In addition, the SCC education program works closely with local PK-12 school districts to provide paid employment opportunities upon completion of the first education course.
The A.A.T. degree consists of 65 total credit hours: 42 hours of general education, 14 hours of required professional education and 9 hours of education course electives.
Please note, this program is different than the Child Care and Early Education programs. Please check with an academic advisor before registering for a pathway or signing up for classes.
