Security:
In order to protect your privacy, our site uses 128-bit encryption,
which is much more secure than the 40-bit or 56-bit encryption supported
by older browsers .
Software Requirements:
For security purposes, SCC Connection requires a browser (i.e. Internet
Explorer, Netscape, Opera) capable of 128-bit encryption. The following
browser versions are capable of 128-bit encryption.
| Microsoft Internet Explorer |
version 5.01 SP2 (Windows 95/98/NT4.0)
version 5.5 SP1 (Windows 95/98/NT4.0)
version 6.x
Windows 2000 requires Service Pack 2 update |
| Netscape Navigator/Communicator |
version 4.73 or newer |
| Opera |
version 3.0 or newer |
You may need to download a new browser, or upgrade your current browser
if it does not support 128-bit encryption.
To find out if your browser supports 128-bit encryption:
- Select "Help" from the menu at the top of the screen
- Then select "About (your browser name here)".
The information you are looking for will appear in various locations
based upon which browser you have. Internet Explorer will refer to "Cipher
Strength: 128-bit" while Netscape refers to "high grade (128-bit) security." Opera
does not refer to it at all.
Another way to tell if your browser supports 128-bit encryption is
to try to access the SCC Connection. If you get a “Page not found” message,
it means that the encryption strength of your browser is not 128-bit
and needs to be upgraded.
To upgrade your browser, use one of the following links.
