Achieving Success in College Math

Invest in the Cause

In 2007, a member of SCC’s Foundation Board, Mike Lissner, offered a $10,000 donation, asking that the funds be used to make a difference in math education.

The college put the money where it would help students the most – tackling math readiness for developmental students.

Today the Achieving Success in College Math program continues to be 100 percent funded by a number of individuals as well as businesses.

The program is now in its sixth year and has grown more than 300 percent, reaching more than 4,000 students in an academic year.
