Step-by-Step Instructions
If you
are a first-time student who has never completed college credits and
who plans to take six credit hours or more, you are required to have
a counselor's signature in order to enroll, and you are also required
to complete the SCC assessment testing. You should call the Student
Development secretary at 636-922-8241 to schedule an appointment with
a counselor before attempting to register by mail or in person. All
other students are encouraged, but not required, to see a counselor.
(Academic
Skills Assessment recommended prior to appointment.)
- Pick up registration materials. Read and complete all necessary
forms. (Materials are available at the campus; printable forms are
available on the Internet).
- Select
the appropriate courses you wish to take, and check to see if the
course section numbers correspond with the times, days, and locations
you prefer. (If you wish to register for math or English courses,
Academic
Skills Assessment is required.)
- Examine
your selection of courses to see if you have met all prerequisites
for the courses. Courses that have prerequisites and co-requisites
are flagged with P/C in the class schedule. Prerequisites and co-requisites
for all courses are listed in the catalog. It is the student's responsibility
to provide documentation that all prerequisites have been met prior
to registration.
- Remember that all students taking English or math courses are
required to make a grade of "C" or better in prerequisite courses
before progressing to the next course in sequence.
- Bring the completed forms to the Admissions office at 4601 Mid
Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville and proceed to register. Regular
registration hours are from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through
Thursday and 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday. OR - If you are registering
by mail, mail your completed application and registration form to:
SCC
Admissions Office
4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive
Cottleville, MO 63376
You
may also register online by using the SCC Connection.
DEADLINES: All registrations by mail must be received by
the Admissions office on or before the specified deadline. Registrations
received in the mail or via e-mail after the specified deadline will
be returned to sender. You may still register, but it will be necessary
to do so in person at the Admissions office. See Step-by-Step Procedure
for Registering in Person.
Consult the Academic Calendar
for deadline dates.
