Registering for Credit Classes

Register early to maximize the possibility of getting your chosen classes and schedule.

Registration depends on the type of student you are and what your needs are. Select the registration process that best fits the type of student you are.

  • You Must Register with an Academic Counselor if you are:
    • a new student with no college credit and plan to take 6 or more credit hours.
    • enrolled in the A+ Scholarship Program.
    • a student athlete
    • on academic warning, probation, suspension, or reinstatement.
    • an international student
    • a dual enrolled student (first semester only)
    • a Success Semester student who has not completed the developmentatl sequence in at least one subject area.
Other students are encouraged but not required to see a counselor.
  • Online Through SCC Connection
Save time! Current and returning students may register for courses online via the SCC Connection. To access SCC Connection, students must acquire a login ID and password.
  • In Person at the Registration Window
Current, returning, or students taking less than 6 credit hours. Registration forms can be found in the lobby of the Administration Building or online.

See the academic calendars for important registration deadlines.

If you have an outstanding balance or other holds on your account, you will not be able to register until the holds are resolved. Visit the Admissions or Cashier's Office for information.

The college may find it necessary to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment or other extenuating circumstances. Whenever possible, the class will be cancelled before the first meeting and the students will be notified. Students enrolled in cancelled classes will receive a full refund of tuition and course fees or may add a class until the end of the first week of classes.
