Meet the Staff
Martha ToebbenMartha Toebben is the Coordinating Counselor for Career Services. She possesses a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management from Lindenwood University. Martha joined Student Development in August 2002 after working in Human Resources at SCC for four years. While in Human Resources, she managed recruitment activities including resume screening, interviewing and compensation administration. She brings this experience to her current position when assisting students with their resumes, helping them prepare for interviews and negotiate starting pay and benefits. In addition to assisting clients in job search skills, she is available for career counseling and academic advising. Contact Martha if you are interested in internship possibilities while attending SCC. She is also available to alumni who need further job search assistance or would like to serve as an alumni mentor to a current SCC student. Ann HermanAnn Herman is a part-time academic and career counselor for Career Services. Ann earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Saint Louis University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Missouri, as well as a National Certified Counselor (NCC), as recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors. Ann joined Career Services in July 2007. Her professional experience
includes both mental health and career counseling, as well as teaching
social sciences at the community college level. Ann has served as a
counselor in both the community agency setting as well as in her current
private practice. She is available for career counseling, job search
assistance, and academic advising on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Diane RauDiane Rau is a part-time academic and career counselor for Career Services. She has a Master of Education degree in Counseling from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Webster University. Diane also holds a Missouri license as a Professional Counselor and maintains a private practice. Diane joined St. Charles Community College in August 2004, and is available for academic advising, job search assistance and career counseling on Mondays and Wednesdays. She has extensive business experience including recruiting and hiring activities while working in Human Resources. Diane's focus has changed during her career from finance to administration to human resources and then to counseling. She will bring the benefits of these experiences to working with students on their own career goals. |
