I look for players who don’t have just good hands or a great swing, but who have a good head on their shoulders. The players who have gone on to be the most successful are those who approach life the way they approach the game – they want to win, and they work hard to make that happen. They don’t take their skills for granted; they keep trying to get better…

I expect my players to be serious about the game. I also expect them to be serious about academics. They’re called student athletes – the student part should always come first. "
