Home Schooled StudentsStudents who are home schooled and do not have a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED) may be admitted to the college with an Ability to Benefit status. Home Schooled students who are currently enrolled in their high school curriculum will be restricted to a maximum of six credit hours per semester. Enrollment in physical education activity and developmental courses are not allowed unless special permission has been obtained from the Vice President of Academic Affairs. Home schooled students are required to complete an academic skills assessment and meet with an academic advisor before enrolling. The assessment test will determine the student's ability
to benefit from course work offered in the following areas: reading,
writing,
computational, and algebra skills. The test results will be reviewed
with the student by an academic advisor and based on the results recommended
course work will be discussed. |
