How do I get started at SCC?

All students wishing to take credit courses must complete the following steps:

• Complete an application for admission. The application can be obtained in the Administration building atrium or the Application for Admission can be downloaded.

Additional requirements neccessary if you:

• are still in high school and wish to attend college at the same time
• just graduated from high school or have a GED
• are an international student
• are a resident alien
• already have a degree and just want to take a few classes
• have been out of school for a number of years
• if you don't have a high school diploma
• if you plan to earn a degree in nursing, practical nursing, or health information technology
• if you've been home schooled
