SBA Programs for Small Businesses

Tom will provide an overview of SBA Programs for Small Businesses. The United States Small Business Administration is dedicated to helping entrepreneurs start and grow small businesses. Recognizing that starting and managing a business requires preparation, tenacity and access to information; we are committed to helping small business owners achieve success. Nearly two thirds of Missouri’s new jobs are created by small business.

  • SBA is well known for its programs related to financial assistance for new or existing businesses through guaranteed loans made by area bank and non-bank lenders.
  • SBA through its resource partners also provides free counseling, advice and information on starting, better operating or expanding a small business.
  • SBA also provides assistance for entrepreneurs that would like to sell goods and services to the government.
  • The SBA through its Office of Advocacy examines the role and status of small business in the economy and independently represents the views of small business to the White House, Congress and other federal agencies.
