All St. Charles Community College students enrolled in six or more credits are invited to attend open tryouts for the first half of the 2014-15 roller hockey season. Links to download and print mandatory player paperwork can be found under the Player Responsibilities and Registration Materials header. Tryouts will take place at Matteson Square Garden Tri-Plex, located at 3051 Industrial Park Place W., St Peters, Mo. There is a fee of $75 to try out. Player tryouts will be held:

Saturday, Sept. 27
The Cougars practice once a week, usually on Wednesday nights. Once the teams are selected, players and coaches will determine the best practice schedule for the season.
(The team will sometimes practice two times per week in March prior to regionals and nationals.)
The Great Plains Collegiate Inline Hockey League (greatplainshockey.com) will hold regular-season competition for the 2014-15 season beginning in October. Learn more details and watch for updates at greatplainshockey.com.
Prior to tryouts, every player must download, print and fill out all of the documents below. In addition to this paperwork, include a photocopy of both sides of your medical insurance card. You must turn in ALL paperwork before setting foot on the rink for tryouts, and all athletes MUST attend at least 90 minutes of tryouts to be considered for the team. This includes players who have participated in past years. Turn in finished paperwork, along with $75 club fee, to Ben Munson, advisor, in ADM 1121. Make checks payable to SCC.
REMEMBER: Print and complete each of the following documents and turn them into Ben Munson, advisor, by 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24. You will NOT be allowed to skate if your player paperwork is not 100 percent complete and fees paid.

Players are responsible for attending all practices and games on time unless prior notification is given to the coaching staff. All mandatory paperwork must be complete, and all athletes must remain enrolled in at least six credit hours with a 1.75 GPA to be eligible for league play and team practices. For additional information regarding the hockey club, visit Ben Munson, club advisor, in ADM 1121, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday.
At the conclusion of the first half of the season, the 10-time national champion Cougars sit comfortably in first place with a 6-3-1 record, having won their final three games of the fall semester. The team will look to re-tool in January for another run at the cup, with tryouts and practices starting Jan. 16.
