ENTRIES FOR MID RIVERS REVIEW DUE JAN. 31

The Mid Rivers Review literary journal of St. Charles Community College will be accepting entries for its 2008 publication until Thursday, Jan. 31.  Original unpublished works including poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, and artistic black and white photographs may be submitted through the Jan. 31 deadline.

Written submissions must be typed as a Microsoft Word document using 12-point type and a standard font.  Both a hard copy of the manuscript and an electronic version of the file must be included.  Artistic photos and art entries should be sent in as a 3'' x 5'' black and white glossy.  All submissions must be titled.

Poems should be single spaced with one poem per page, clearly indicating stanza and line breaks.  There is a limit of four poem submissions.  Fiction and essay entries should be no longer than 1,500 words with a limit of two submissions.

The author’s name should not appear anywhere on the work(s).  Entrants should staple a sealed envelope containing a 3'' x 5'' card with the work’s title and the author’s name, address, phone number, and e-mail address to each entry.

Entries should be mailed to Teddy Norris, Editor, Mid Rivers Review, Room 203K HUM, St. Charles Community College, 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, Cottleville, MO 63376.  All submissions must be postmarked by Thursday, Jan. 31.

Individuals whose work is selected will be notified by March 1, and will receive two complimentary copies of the 2008 publication.
