SCC CENTER STAGE THEATRE TO PRESENT
“RELATIVELY SPEAKING” NOV. 14-18

The St. Charles Community College Center Stage Theatre production of the British comedy “Relatively Speaking,” will hit the stage Nov. 14-18.

Performances will be held in the theater of the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building at 8 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, Nov. 14-17, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18. A school matinee for grades nine and above will show at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15.

“Relatively Speaking,” by Alan Ayckbourn, begins with the discovery of an unidentified pair of slippers found under a bed.  The discovery leads to a series of hilarious misunderstandings, mistaken identities, and alibis between two young lovers and a middle-aged couple. The situation gets so complicated that eventually no one is sure who’s in love with whom – not even the audience!

“I’m delighted with the production, and I believe the cast is up to the challenges the comedy presents,” said Deborah Phillips, the show’s director.

The show’s cast is intimately composed to include only four roles. The cast members include Sebastian De Geer, of Ballwin, as Greg; Shannon Burggdorf, of St. Charles, as Giny; Justin Spurgeon, of St. Charles, as Philip; and Courtney Hooker, of St. Peters, as Sheila.

The actors are backed by the technical support of Lonna Wilke, set and lighting designer; Milan Anich, technical director; Lynne Snyder, costumes; Johanna Beck, stage manager; and Emily Perry, assistant stage manager.

Due to the subject matter, suggested viewing is for high school students and older. For more information about “Relatively Speaking” or to purchase tickets, call the SCC Box Office
at 636-922-8050.
