SCC CENTER STAGE THEATRE TO HOLD AUDITIONS FOR “RELATIVELY SPEAKING”

The St. Charles Community College Center Stage Theatre will hold auditions for its second show of the season, “Relatively Speaking,” 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, and 7 p.m. Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 8-9, in Room 108 of the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building on the SCC campus.

The British comedy has only four roles – two men and two women.  The director is looking for actors and actresses between the ages of 18-45.

“Relatively Speaking,” by Alan Ayckbourn, begins with the discovery of an unidentified pair of slippers found under a bed.  The discovery leads to a series of hilarious misunderstandings, mistaken identities, and alibis between two young lovers and a middle-aged couple. The situation gets so complicated that eventually no one is sure who’s in love with who – not even the audience!
                       
Scripts are available on reserve at the SCC library.  Rehearsals for the show will begin Oct. 11 and will be primarily in the evenings. The play will open Nov. 14 and will run through Nov. 18.
