SCC OFFERING RED HATTERS TRIP TO
AMISH COUNTRY
THIS JUNE
The St. Charles Community College continuing
education department is sending Red Hatters to Amish country in June. The
department is hosting a trip to Nappanee, Ind., where women of all ages
will become immersed in the unique culture of the Amish.
In SPI-081-40, Red Hatters
in Amish Country, travelers will step back in time and learn
about the lifestyle of the Amish people. The trip will include
dinner at a local Amish farm, a visit to the Prairie Trail Herb Farm
for a garden tea party, and a trip to the Old Bag Factory, a restored
1890s complex that houses 17 unique shops with working artisans. The
program includes six meals (continental breakfast and dinners), transportation,
admittance fees, and tips. The journey will last from Thursday-Sunday,
June 21-24. Registration is $575.
