SCC HISTORY THEATRE TO PRESENT
“ANNE FRANK AND ME” JUNE 14-16

    The 2007 St. Charles Community College History Theatre concludes with a presentation of “Anne Frank and Me” at 8 p.m. Thursday-Friday, June 14-15, and 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday, June 16, in the Auditorium of the Social Sciences Building on the SCC campus.

     “Anne Frank and Me” is a contemporary play which reinforces the idea of never
forgetting the Holocaust. Set in the present, the play features Nicole, a 15-year-old American high school student who is required to read “The Diary of Anne Frank,” and struggles to see the relevance of her difficult assignment so many years after World War II. A tragic event serves as the catalyst for Nicole to face that history.

    “Anne Frank and Me” is a play intended for all audiences. The cast consists of two adults and 12 teenagers. It premiered in Kansas City, Mo., in 1995, and opened off-Broadway in 1996.  The production will be directed by Brisby Andrews.  Lighting is by Ken Parker and set design is by Drew Garrett.  Hal Berry is the coordinator of the SCC History Theatre.

    Tickets are $4 for general admission, $3 for senior citizens and students.  All veterans and SCC students and employees will be admitted for free.  For tickets, call 636-922-8050.  SCC is located at 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville.
