SCC STUDENT EXHIBIT WINNERS ANNOUNCED

     The Business and Social Sciences Division of St. Charles Community College presented awards to 15 SCC students for their outstanding course work at a special recognition ceremony on Thursday,
April 19.

    Prizes were awarded in the Multimedia and Web Design, CAD, and Business Administrative Systems (BAS) categories.

    First-place prizes were awarded to: Jeff David (BAS), Richard Evans (CAD), and Sherrie Giacalone (Multimedia).

    Second-place prizes were awarded to: Caryn Seguin (BAS), Matt Davenport (CAD), and Dave Speicher (Multimedia).

    Third-place prizes were awarded to: Sara Crafton (BAS), Myra Baer (CAD), and Robert Wade (Multimedia).

    Honorable mentions were awarded to: Vicky Enochs and Corrie Davenport (BAS), Marilynn Gwin and Kimberly Klein (CAD), and John Hirschbuehler and Leslie Snider (Multimedia).

    Students entered more than 105 projects for judging in the fourth annual SCC Student Exhibit and Competition, held in the Technology Building on the SCC campus.

    Classes participating in the 2007 competition included: Architectural Drafting, Solid Modeling, Structural Drafting, Civil Drafting, HVAC/Piping Drafting, Web Design with HTML, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Web Animation (Flash), Digital Movies (Premier), 3D Animation (Lightwave), Web Design (Dreamweaver), Dynamic Multimedia (Director), Desktop Publishing (Adobe InDesign and QuarkXPress), and Developing Online Training (Authorware).
