SCC BUSINESS LIAISON RECOGNIZED WITH STATE CREDENTIAL
Ray Randolph, St. Charles Community College staff
member, has been awarded Missouri Workforce Development Professional
certification by the Missouri Association of Workforce Development (MAWD).
Workforce development professionals help people
gain employment and maintain self-sufficiency. The MWDP certification
recognizes the experience, expertise, and leadership of professionals
in the field in the following five areas of competency: history and structure
of the workforce development system, diversity training, customer service,
interpersonal relations, and use of
technology.
Randolph works in the Dislocated Worker Program
(DWP) at the Missouri Career Center in St. Peters. Randolph is employed
by SCC in a partnership agreement with the Missouri Career Center through
federal and state funding sources. Randolph works on job development,
helping local businesses fit their employment needs. Recently Randolph
has begun working with the new Manufacturing Skills Institute in St.
Peters.
“The training involved with MWDP certification
will help me do a better of serving the citizens of St. Charles County,” Randolph
said.
The MWDP program is administered and endorsed
by the Missouri Association of Workforce Development. MAWD supports vocational
and technical training as well as community partnerships that help promote
workforce development.
