Press Release
31 PRACTICAL NURSING GRADUATES
RECEIVE
PINS AT ANNUAL CEREMONY
More than 400 people were in attendance to watch 31
students graduate from the St. Charles Community College practical nursing
program on Saturday, March 17, in the College Center on the SCC campus.
The graduates completed a 14-month practical
nursing program and are now eligible to apply for the state licensure
exam.
“This is a great time to enter the field.
The nursing shortage continues, so our students
shouldn’t have a difficult time finding a job after passing their
exam,” said Rusty St. John, coordinator of the SCC practical nursing
program.
The SCC practical nursing program prepares students
to administer safe, patient-centered care in beginning staff nurse roles
in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, doctor's offices, and other health
care facilities and home settings.
