SCC TO OFFER SHOPPING, HOME DECORATING
AND SHOESTRING CHIC COURSES

    Bring out the thrifty shopper in you with cost effective shopping and decorating courses at St. Charles Community College.  Students will learn how to take advantage of non-traditional shopping venues and how to decorate a home without spending a lot of money.

    In PDV-123-41, You Can’t Have Enough Stuff, students will discover the value of garage, estate, tag, and rummage sales.  The course includes an overview of non-traditional shopping venues, how to bargain successfully, outing preparation, and venue research.  The class is from 7-9 p.m. Monday, April 9.  Registration is $12.

    In PDV-124-40, Shoestring Chic, learn how to decorate a home on a shoestring budget with items purchased at estate sales, flea markets, rummage, and garage sales.  The course includes an overview of typical shopping venues, defining personal style, the wonders of paint and color, fabrics, and furniture.  The class is from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 21.  Registration is $12.

    In PDV-068-40, Smart Shoppers, learn how to save money on everything from prescriptions and food to entertainment and vacations.  Participants will learn how to use the Internet to save big money and become a more effective and efficient consumer  The class is from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 31.  Registration is $12.
