YOUNG PEOPLE’S THEATRE TO PRESENT
‘THE WIZARD OF OZ’ MARCH 16-25 AT SCC

The Young People’s Theatre of St. Charles Community College will present “The Wizard of Oz,” a musical production by special arrangement with Tams-Witmark Music Library of New York, March 16-18 and 23-25 in the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building theater on the SCC campus.

The show starts at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, March 16-17 and 23-24; and at 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, March 17-18 and 24-25. Tickets are $7 for adults and $6 for children and seniors. The campus is located at 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville.

In this beloved classic, Dorothy dreams of what lies over the rainbow when a tornado carries her to a strange new world.  She teams up with the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion on a magical journey along the Yellow Brick Road in her imagination.

Music and lyrics for the show were written by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg.  The musical is based on a book by L. Frank Baum. Brisby Andrews is the show’s director.

Young People’s Theatre is a theater program performed by children ages 8-18.  It is produced by the SCC Division of Corporate and Community Development.
