- Apply to the college in the Administration Building 1204 or on-line.
- If you do not have college English or math credit, take the Academic Skills Assessment for English, reading , and math placement
These tests are free
in the Assessment Center, ADM 1206.
- Send for official transcripts of all colleges attended and request
that they be evaluated by filling out the Credit Evaluation Form.
- Have official high school transcripts or GED scores sent to Admissions,
ADM 1113. If you do not have a high school diploma or a GED certificate,
you must take and pass the GED test.
- Formulate an educational plan and discuss the RN requirements with
a Career-technical Counselor in Room 1204 ADM. Please call 636-922-8246
or 636-922-8241 to schedule an appointment.
- When your writing skills are beyond ENG 096, Developmental Writing
II, and your math skills are beyond MAT 098, Beginning Algebra, you can
apply to the RN program with a Career-technical Counselor.
- Submit ACT scores taken within 5 years of beginning the RN program.
A score of 20 or greater is required. Send them to Admissions in ADM
1113.
- If you do not have an ACT score or if the score is
more than 5 years old you will need to take the ACT and get a
score of 20 or greater. The ACT is waived only when
the student has received a college degree.
- Obtain and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or greater on a minimum of 12 college
credit hours. Developmental courses do not count towards this total.
- Take and pass the Dosage Calculations Test with a score of 90% or greater. Three
attempts are allowed to pass the Dosage between July 1 of one year
and June 30 of the following year. Review classes are available
but not required. You can obtain more information about the Dosage
in Room 1204 of the ADM building.
- Acceptance into the RN program is granted when:
- Space is available. Eighty students are accepted each
Fall on a first come first served basis.
- English 096 and Math 098 are complete.
- High school transcripts or GED scores are on file.
- Twelve hours of college credit is complete with a cumulative GPA
of 2.5 or higher or high school transcripts with a cumulative GPA
of 2.5 or higher.
- ACT score is 20 or more, unless student has either an Associate
or Bachelor's degree.
- Dosage is passed at 90% or better.
- If a student has met these requirements and the class is full,
the student can request to be placed on the alternate list for that
year.
- If a student does not get into the RN program for that year they
must reapply to be considered for the following year.
