The Projections Film Series will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday, Feb. 26-27, featuring "Born Into Brothels" and "Le Fils De L'Epicier." For more information, contact Denise McCracken. The SCC Coffeehouse will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, in the student lounge of the Social Sciences Building. The Coffeehouse is an open-mic format where poets, short fiction writers, creative nonfiction writers and songwriters share their creativity. Come prepared to present a three- to seven-minute selection of your original work, or just come to listen and enjoy a good cup of java among friends. Complimentary coffee and cookies are served. The Panache That Pays luncheon will be at noon-1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, in the Private Dining Room in the Student Center. The cost is $5 for students and $10 for faculty and staff. Tickets are available at the Cashier’s Office. In addition to enjoying a four-course lunch, attendees will receive Maria Peniciaro Everding’s book, Panache That Pays. The books were provided by a grant from the SCC Foundation. Prizes donated by UPS will also be awarded to some lucky attendees. SCC Center Stage Theatre will present Deathtrap in the theater of the Fine Arts Building at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, March 6-7; 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, March 8-9; and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10. SCC, in cooperation with Great Plains Math League, is hosting the 16th annual high school math tournament at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 9, in the Administration Building. Registration begins at 8 a.m. in the Student Center Café. There will be a lunch break at 12:30 p.m. The awards ceremony starts at 2 p.m. in the Student Center Plaza Bistro.
