President John McGuire’s Farewell Tribute is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, in the College Center. Tickets are $75 and include heavy hors d'oeuvres, drinks and a Roast-and-Toast from party hosts. To purchase tickets or for more information visit www.stchas.edu/mcguirefarewell. Proceeds from ticket sales and donations will help establish an endowment fund. There will also be a campus celebration planned for early fall. Center Stage Theatre is hosting auditions for its first production, "Bus Stop," at 7 p.m. Monday-Tuesday, Aug. 22-23, in the FAB theater. The Young People's Theatre is hosting auditions for its production of "Coney Island of Dr. Moreau" at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 in the FAB theater. Children ages 8-18 are welcome to audition and parents must be present. Visit www.stchas.edu/ypt or call x8233 for more information. Comedians Sarah Colonna and Guy Branum from E! Network’s popular late night talk show “Chelsea Lately” will headline Comedy Night at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, in the FAB theater. Congratulations to the SCC Continuing Education Department for enrolling 940 kids in the College For All Kids summer camps, their highest enrollment yet. Congratulations to the SCC Child Development Center for winning the AgriMissouri 10,000 Garden Challenge for their category. They won a $500 grand prize for supplies, tools, seeds and plants for their garden. |
