The college will be closed Monday, May 30, for Memorial Day. All offices will be closed and no classes will be held. In order to prepare for the HLC/NCA Self-Study visit this fall, every e-Outlook will include a fact to help you learn more about NCA accreditation. Fact: The North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) is one of six regional institutional accreditors in the United States. President John McGuire’s Farewell Tribute is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, in the College Center. Tickets are $75 and include heavy hors d'oeuvres, drinks and a Roast-and-Toast from party hosts. To purchase tickets or for more information visit www.stchas.edu/mcguirefarewell. Proceeds from ticket sales and donations will help establish an endowment fund. There will also be a campus celebration planned for early fall. Thinking pizza for dinner tonight? Then be sure to order from Papa John's, and 20% of your order will go to the SCC. Just use promo code SCC1 by phone or SCC2 online at papajohns.com. And don't forget to ask for the SCC special, a large one-topping pizza for just $7.99. SCC raised nearly $1,000 last year through this same promotion, so help support SCC and order some pizza! Tell us your story! Do you know someone, whether it's a student, faculty or staff member at SCC, who deserves to be recognized? Or maybe you have a unique story about yourself or your experiences at SCC that you'd like to share with us! Now you can, online — it's easy! Just go to SCC's home page (www.stchas.edu) and click on the blue "I (heart) SCC" icon at the bottom of the page and fill out the form, either for yourself or about someone you know whose story deserves to be heard! If you have any questions, contact the office of Marketing and Communications Department. |
