Finding Articles with SCC Library Indexes

The following databases are available from the library Web site. These can be accessed off campus by students, faculty, and staff of SCC with a valid ID number. Search the databases for articles from magazines, journals, and/or newspapers.

Academic OneFile

Topics of the periodicals are varied, covering many different disciplines. You can search this database for news on foreign countries.

Discovering Collection - Geography and Cultures

Cultural, country and topical overviews from around the world. Once you're in the Discovering Collection, click on "Geography and Cultures Search."

LexisNexis News

Search for world news and non-English language news. To find articles written in Spanish, French or German, click on News tab and go to the Select Sources drop down box, and select either Non-English Language News, World Library, or one of the other non-English sources listed for Spanish, French or German.

Global perspective articles on cultures, history, politics, and more; full-text 1986 to present.
