Finding Articles with SCC Library Indexes

The following databases can be accessed, off campus, by SCC students, faculty, and staff with a valid ID number. Search the databases for articles from magazines, journals, and/or newspapers.

History Reference Center
Access articles from history journals and specialized history reference books. This database also includes historical documents, biographies, and maps, as well as historical photos, films, and videos.

Academic Search Elite/MasterFile (EBSCOhost)
Topics of the periodicals are varied, covering many different disciplines including American history. Users can restrict their searches to peer reviewed articles.

Discovering Collection - History Search
This database has encyclopedia information on historical topics covering U.S. and world history.

World and I
Find global perspective articles on cultures, history, politics, and more; full-text 1986 to present.
