Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  I tried to login to WebCT or SCC Connection and it doesn’t work.
A:Try one of the two solutions below:
    1. If you haven’t activated your login ID since January 1, 2007, go here Activate my login.

Fill in your student ID number, the last four digits of your Social Security number and your date of birth.

Create your password following the specified requirements and set your account verification question. *YOU MUST REMEMBER THE ANSWER TO YOUR ACCOUNT VERIFICTION QUESTION IN CASE YOU FORGET YOUR PASSWORD.*
    2. If you have already activated your account and just forgot your login or password, then go to Reset my password.  The site will then allow you to create a new password and will show your login ID at the end of the process.

Q:  Every time I try to activate my account, I get an error that “A USER WITH THAT INFORMATION WAS NOT FOUND.  PLEASE VERIFY THAT YOUR INFORMATION IS CORRECT AND TRY AGAIN.”
A.   1. You may have entered the wrong student information. If you’re sure you are entering the correct information, call 636-922-8555 or visit the Help Desk located in the LRC146.
2.  If the last time you were enrolled for classes was over 5 years ago, visit the registration office and fill out a new application for admission.

Q:  I need to reset my password, but I cannot remember my security question answer.
A:  Visit the Help Desk in LRC146 and be sure to bring a valid photo ID to have your account reset. This process takes 1 to 3 hours.

Q:  I cannot see my class in WebCT.
A:  Classes are not entered into WebCT until just before the start date of the class. If the class has already started and you do not see it listed call the Help Desk at 636-922-8555.

Q:  I don’t remember my student ID.
A:  You can get your student ID number from your student ID card or your class registration receipt.  On the class registration receipt, your student ID number is listed as your account number.  If you still cannot locate your student ID, bring in a valid photo ID to the Registration office or the Help Desk in LRC 146. This information can not be given over the phone.

Q:  This is my first semester at the college and SCC Connection will not let me register for classes.
A: You must complete one full semester before you can register online.

Q:  I forgot my login ID or password.
A: Go to Reset my password and select I Forgot my password or user ID and want to set a new one. Follow the steps to create a new password and at the end it will give you your login ID again.

Q:
When I try to login I see the error: " If you cannot remember your User ID (or password) and you continue to have problems contact the Help Desk at 636-922-8555 for assistance."
A:  Verify the following:
    1. Do not copy and paste your password and/or login ID.
    2. Your password is case sensitive. Make sure your Caps lock is not on and you are typing your password in exactly how you created it including at least:
      • One number
      • One upper case letter
      • One lower case letter
    3. The first 2 letters in your login id are lowercase.
    4. After verifying all of the above if you still can not remember your password or Login ID, go to Reset my password. Follow the steps to create a new password and at the end it will give you your log in ID again.

Q: I am locked out due to too many incorrect login attempts.
A: You are locked out for 15 minutes; you can then reset your password.
