JEAN EHLMANN, President

Jean Poggemeier Ehlmann was re-elected to a six-year term in May 2006. A board member since 1994, Trustee Ehlmann has served as board vice president twice and is currently serving a second term as president. She has seen the college through three of its expansion phases.

Ms. Ehlmann is a history and government teacher at St. Charles High School. She has a bachelor’s degree in history from Lindenwood University and a master’s degree in education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

One of Ms. Ehlmann’s priorities has been to respond to college enrollment growth and meet students’ academic needs at SCC by increasing the numbers of faculty and staff.

“SCC must be accountable to the students and community by ensuring that its general education classes are transferable and its career-technical programs are meeting job market demands,” Ms. Ehlmann said. “I want to ensure that SCC meets the future educational needs of St. Charles County.”
