The meeting will be preceded by the annual SCC Employee Recognition Dinner which will begin at 5:30 p.m. in SC 205-206. The SCC Holiday Social will be held from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, in the College Center Rotunda. Canned food donations will be collected and given to the Sts. Joachim and Ann Food Pantry. The Fitness Center and gym will be closed for flooring repair Dec. 18-Jan. 1, and will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2. The college will be closed for winter break Dec. 22-Jan. 1. |

The Young People's Theatre season continues with the performance of Valentine Davies's Miracle on 34th Street at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Dec. 14-15, and at 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 15-16, in the FAB Theater. More. Auditions for the Young People's Theatre spring production of Cats will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, in the FAB Theater. Early registration for Double Reed Day continues through Tuesday, Jan. 15. Cost is $25 if registration materials are received by Jan. 15; $35 after Jan. 15. Final exams are scheduled for Dec. 10-15. The SCC Bookstore fall book buy-back will be held from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday, Dec. 10-13, in the SCC Bookstore. The book buy-back will continue from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14; from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, Dec. 15; and from 8 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 17. The International Club is holding its autumn raffle to raise money for the International Club Scholarship Fund. The money raised will help students participate in the Global Study Tours. Last year the club provided more than $1,000 in scholarship money for SCC students. Club members are selling raffle tickets at various locations around campus through Friday, Dec. 14. The drawing will be held on Friday, Dec. 14, and the winners will be notified by phone. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. To purchase tickets, contact Cal Chandler at x8257. Student Senate, Returning Learners Club, Human Services Student Organization, Phi Theta Kappa, and Student Engineering Club are collecting donated items for Operation Xmas Project through Saturday, Dec. 15. The items are for care packages that will be sent to the men and women serving overseas in the military. Items can be dropped off in the collection boxes located in the ADM atrium or the Café. The SCC Outdoors Crew student club is holding a Holiday Mom's Day Out from 9 a.m.-noon and from 1-4 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Dec. 14-15, in SC 205. SCC staff and student sitters will entertain children, potty trained, ages 3-10 years, with age-appropriate songs, nature crafts, games, and snacks. Contact Amy White at x8535 for more information. Fall semester final grades are due to Admissions by Tuesday, Dec. 18. Registration for spring credit classes continues through Thursday, Dec. 20, in ADM 1113. After winter break, registration for spring credit classes will continue Jan. 2-14, with all fees due by 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14. Students may register Jan. 16-18, and they must pay at the time of registration. The last day to register online for spring credit classes is Monday, Jan. 14. |
