Ways to Give/Volunteer

Gifts of time, talents, and resources are vital to the continuing success of St. Charles Community College. We believe every gift makes a difference and, when your gift is combined with that of others, it enables us to continue transforming lives and strengthening communities! Thank you for considering an investment in education.

A Financial Gift

The only thing constant about how people give is that everyone gives for a different purpose. For that reason the SCC Foundation has created the VIP program, giving you (our Very Important People) the opportunity to make a meaningful gift in the way your passion leads you. For instance …

  • Do you want your gift to benefit scholarships or a program/department?
  • Do you want to be recognized as a sponsor at SCC Foundation events,
such as the Presidents Classic Golf Scramble and/or the PEAR Award Gala? Do you want to receive tickets for you, co-workers, and/or clients to attend these events?
  • Do you want to be included in activities where your business can be
    promoted on the SCC campus?
  • Do you want to remain anonymous?
  • Do you have a specific idea on how we can celebrate your gift?
  • Whatever the need, we look forward to discussing this partnership with you!

The Foundation accepts gifts through a variety of means: cash, check, credit card, stocks/bonds, securities, employer matching gifts, or personal property. These gifts may be given at one time or pledged over a certain period of time. Here are a few examples of ways to give:

Outright Gift
Any donation given to the Foundation to directly benefit our students and programs is an outright gift. They can be:

  • Given annually or just once
  • Used to set up an endowment
  • Designated by you for a specific purpose like scholarships or they can be deemed unrestricted which allows the Foundation the freedom to direct funds to the greatest needs at the time
  • Customized to fit your passion

Event Gift
Any donation given to the Foundation through one of our fundraisers to benefit our students and programs is an event gift. They can be given to purchase:

  • Tickets
  • Sponsorships
  • Auction items
  • Other event related items

Each year, individuals and businesses whose gifts total $250 or above are formally recognized. (If you would rather remain anonymous, it would be our pleasure to respect your wishes.) Recognition levels include:

Champion $25,000 +
Ambassador  $10,000-$24,999
Benefactor $5,000-$9,999
Patron  $2,500-$4,999
Friend $1,000-$2,499
Fan $250-$999

Celebration of these gifts within these levels may include recognition on or through the:

  • SCC Foundation donor wall located on campus
  • SCC Foundation newsletters sent to 2,500 households/organizations
  • SCC Foundation Annual Report sent to 2,500 households/organizations
  • SCC President’s Report sent to 2,000 households/organizations
  • SCC Foundation brochure
  • SCC Foundation Web page
  • SCC Foundation Scholarship Breakfast

Whether you are making a one-time gift or wish to build a long-lasting relationship to benefit our students and this community, we thank you for your time and consideration.

Your gift to the SCC Foundation, a 501 c(3) organization, is always confidential and tax-deductible. A tax-deductible gift to the SCC Foundation should be made on or before Dec. 31 of the year in which you wish to receive the tax benefit. For a report on the Foundation’s giving, contact the office at 636-922-8472.

A Gift of Time and Talents

The SCC Foundation makes a difference because of the dedicated effort of volunteers.

There are many opportunities to serve, so depending on your interests and time availability, we would love for you to become involved as a volunteer! Some enjoy serving on the SCC Foundation Board. Others enjoy helping to plan Foundation fundraisers, while others enjoy volunteering in the Foundation Department.

No experience is required – just a passion to help transform lives and strengthen communities!
