Welcome to St. Charles Community College. I hope you will use this Web site to become acquainted with SCC and its many programs and services. You can click on our “virtual tour” for an overview of the campus, and additional information is available for the asking.

If you have ever considered starting or returning to college, then now is the time! St. Charles Community College (SCC) makes quality higher education affordable and accessible to all area residents who wish to improve their lives and advance their careers.

 With a safe and welcoming environment and a talented and supportive faculty and staff, our doors are open for all citizens who come here to learn and to grow.  In the years since its establishment in 1986, this community’s college has served more than 150,000 individual students in credit and non-credit classes – a large segment of the county’s population.

I hope you will make good use of SCC as a valuable resource for you and your family. It is important to us that you feel welcome and that you receive the attention and support needed to achieve success. To that end, we continue to enhance our programs and our services. For instance, wireless Internet access is available in every building, new “smart” classrooms provide the latest in instructional technology, and more online classes are being added. Student support now includes a larger “ACE” learning center with free tutoring, additional counseling/advising staff, a computer technology “help desk,” and a restructured scholarship program to reach more students in need.

What is most important – SCC is a SMART place to start or continue your college education.  You can train to quickly enter the workforce, prepare for transfer to a four-year university, or just take a class that interests you. Our business is building brighter futures for you and yours.
