GI Bill Information

This page contains basic information about Active Duty and Reserve GI Bill programs. You can find information about eligibility, programs, how to apply and payment information.

The VA will determine your eligibility for educational benefits.  You are encouraged to apply using VON-App. If eligible for educational benefits, the VA will send you a Certificate of Eligibility. You will need to provide a copy of this document to the VA School Certifying Official. You must also submit a Veteran Certification Request form to use your benefits each term.

Department of Defense Tuition Assistance

SCC is a participating institution for students using DoD Tuition Assistance. If eligible, you must apply for these benefits through your service branch. 

If your request for tuition assistance is approved, you must contact Tomi Schwandt at tschwandt@stchas.edu and provide proof of approval for tuition assistance. If your tuition assistance request is approved and you notify Ms. Schwandt prior to the tuition payment deadline, you will be held in your courses. If your tuition assistance request is not approved or you fail to contact Ms. Schwandt prior to the tuition payment deadline, you will be responsible for paying any tuition and fee charges by the deadline to avoid being dropped from your courses.  Failure to pay before the payment deadline will result in you being dropped from your courses. 

MyCAA

SCC is a participating institution for students using MyCAA education benefits. If eligible, you must apply for these benefits through https://aiportal.acc.af.mil/mycaa. 

If your request for MyCAA benefits is approved, you must contact Tomi Schwandt at tschwandt@stchas.edu and provide proof of approval. If your MyCAA benefit request is approved and you notify Ms. Schwandt prior to the tuition payment deadline, you will be held in your courses. If your tuition assistance request is not approved or you fail to contact Ms. Schwandt prior to the tuition payment deadline, you will be responsible for paying any tuition and fee charges by the deadline to avoid being dropped from your courses.
