



The Board of Trustees Honoring Military Families Scholarship is for dependents of military personnel (current and prior) at St. Charles Community College who have demonstrated an academic aptitude. St. Charles Community College and the Board of Trustees recognize and support the educational aspirations of the military family members who have shared in the sacrifices of service to this country.
Scholarship award amount: in-district tuition rate for fall and spring semesters (up to four total semesters). The Board of Trustees Honoring Military Families Scholarship is a tuition waiver that covers the in-district rate of tuition. Recipients who live out-of-district will need to pay the difference between the in-district and out-of-district rate per credit hour total. The scholarship does not cover fees.
Qualifying Criteria: To be eligible the student must be a legally dependent son, daughter or spouse of a current military service member or an honorably discharged veteran. You may be asked to provide proof of eligibility.
The student must also plan to attend SCC and meet one of the following:
Renewing Criteria: The scholarship is automatically renewed for up to three additional semesters (excluding summer terms) if a 2.50 cumulative GPA is achieved and at least 6 credit hours are completed. If a student fails to enroll or complete 6 credit hours or their cumulative GPA drops below a 2.50, the student will forfeit his/her scholarship.
