STEP Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: How do I learn about upcoming STEP training programs?
- A: The Human Resources department will send e-mails and post upcoming sessions on the STEP Training Schedule.
- Q: How do I sign up for training?
- A: To sign up for STEP classes contact Jessica Trimborn at jtrimborn@stchas.edu or ext. 8393, and indicate your name, the session(s) you want to attend, and your contact information.
- Q: How do I keep track of training units I have attended?
- A: Make sure you sign the attendance sheet during each training session you attend. This information will be entered into your training record. Upon completion of five units, you will be contacted to select one of the incentive gifts. As you continue taking STEP courses you will earn more credits toward additional incentive gifts.
- Q: Will my supervisor know that I have received a Certificate of Accomplishment?
- A: Yes. After Dr. McGuire signs it, the original certificate will be sent to you and copies placed in your personnel file and sent to your supervisor.
- Q: Are other developmental seminars, not scheduled by the Human Resources Department, eligible for my Certificate of Completion and incentive gift?
- A: No. While training of any kind is always encouraged, only sessions scheduled through the STEP program will be eligible for the Certificate of Accomplishment and incentive gift. However, if you attend a seminar or training program that you found informative and beneficial, please share it with Jessica Trimborn, Human Resources, jtrimborn@stchas.edu or ext. 8393.
- Q: If I have a great idea for staff training, how do I let Human Resources know?
- A: Contact Jessica Trimborn, Human Resources, jtrimborn@stchas.edu or ext. 8393.
