Student Employment Opportunities

Students - Are you looking for a part-time job?

Many opportunities exist on campus in which you may earn a paycheck while becoming a valuable part of the campus community. St. Charles Community College has two student employment programs. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours during the fall/spring semesters. SCC also offers an off-campus referral service through Career Services.

SCC Career Services counselors are available to assist you in resume and application assistance, mock interviewing and developing other work-related skills in order to be successful in your employment. Federal Work-Study Program

The Federal Work-Study Program is a form of federal financial aid that promotes part-time on-campus employment for students. Federal Work-Study is based on financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Departmental Job Program

The Departmental Job Program includes jobs that are not subsidized by Federal Work-Study funds and are open to all students, including international students on F-1 visa, regardless of financial aid status.

Description: Student will assist in promoting/publicizing the ESL program via social media & other methods.

Student Assistant - Visual Arts

Description: Assist in art studio in Visual Arts Building.

Work Study - Accounting

Description: Student is responsible for monitoring the open accounting lab and tutoring students in accounting.

Description: Filing, data entry, responding to student inquiries, and assisting with registration and financial aid procedures. Student will be assigned various projects and reports from staff.

Description: Assist students with information, answer phone, assist Department Office Coordinator.

Description: Provide assistance to the Social Sciences Division Office Coordinator (DOC), faculty and students.

Description: Assist the Coordinating Counselor of Student Activities and the Student Activities Coordinator manage the daily operations of the office.

Work Study -Science Lab

Type: Part Time
Description: Assist Science Lab Coordinator and Science Lab Technician to organize and maintain lab. Duties include washing glassware, assisting with greenhouse, organizing lab equipment and other duties as assigned.

Work Study -Science/Business

Type: Part Time
Description: Direct students, sort mail, direct phone calls to appropriate faculty or staff, and make copies as needed.
