Many opportunities exist on campus in which you may earn a paycheck while becoming a valuable part of the campus community. St. Charles Community College has two student employment programs. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours during the fall/spring semesters. SCC also offers an off-campus referral service through Career Services.
The Federal Work-Study Program is a form of federal financial aid that promotes part-time on-campus employment for students. Federal Work-Study is based on financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The Departmental Job Program includes jobs that are not subsidized by Federal Work-Study funds and are open to all students, including international students on F-1 visa, regardless of financial aid status.
Description: Assist students in Lab with assignments.
Description: Candidate will answer phones, greet and answer questions of students and community, assist in book/supply inventory, assist with class registration/orientation and input data in program reporting system.
Description: Filing, data entry, responding to student inquiries, and assisting with registration and financial aid procedures. Student will be assigned various projects and reports from staff.
Description: Shelve books and periodicals; perform other clerical work as assigned.
