• Do not open an e-mail file attachment unless you are sure what it is, even if it appears to come from a dear friend or someone you know. Better to be safe than sorry and confirm that they really sent it. If you weren't expecting an attachment from someone, check first, and open it later when you're sure it's okay.
  • Delete chain e-mails and junk e-mails. Do not forward or reply to them. These types of e-mail are considered spam, or unsolicited, intrusive mail, that clogs up the network and server resources.
