Interests

My main interests include golfing, dirt track auto racing, fishing and pool(billards, that is). I also enjoy sewing, stitchery, and reading.

Family Life

I married George Heckel on July 7, 1976. We moved to St. Peters in 1984, and share our home Duke, a lab mix (see picture below). In October 2009 we lost our 9-year-old german shepherd, Bruno.  In November 2009 we added a second black lab to our home, named Newton.  A photo of Newton will be coming soon.

Additional background:

One month after high school, I started working in "Corporate America," in offices.  I started college 16 years after high school, working full time while attending school, earning my BS degree in four years.  I started teaching part time, and decided I really liked it, so I went back for my masters degree while working three part-time teaching jobs.
